RENOWNED Event Designs is proud to announce that we are now serving the Wilmington area! Our first major project in this area set a bold new standard for luxury event design and we were honored to help bring that vision to life.

RED worked hand in hand with Samkoma World for this project. The client had one goal: to host the most beautiful, extravagant event Wilmington has ever seen, and we gave them just that. From day one, RENOWNED was deeply involved in the design process. Not simply executing, but collaborating, suggesting, and elevating the vision every step of the way.

Set in a private backyard near the ocean, the original idea leaned toward a plaza-style design but with an Oceanside twist. The client dreamed of something chic, elegant, timeless, and we were determined to deliver just that.

Curated Events from Charleston installed a large tent over the property. Fencing had to be removed, and the entire tent floor was elevated several feet above ground to span a backyard pool. It was an engineering challenge turned into an artistic opportunity.

Once the tent and the raised porch were in place, RED stepped in to transform a bare space into a masterpiece.

What We Offered:

Draping every inch of the tented space in clean, elegant white fabric, giving it a pristine, luxurious ambiance.
Installing 40 custom chandeliers throughout the tent to create a warm, graceful glow.
Designing a lighting layout that enhanced the sophistication of the space, rather than overwhelming it.

The client wanted nothing about the space to feel like it was under a tent. With the help of White Door Events who created a façade for the front and back of the tent's exterior. Inside, our floor-to-ceiling draping created a flawless, clean environment that seamlessly hid structural elements and made the space feel extremely classy.

We also covered the entire ceiling and walls with white drapery. Combined with ambient lighting and chandeliers, the tent became indistinguishable from a grand indoor ballroom.

Another challenge Renowned Event Designs faced was when the client envisioned floating chandeliers, but the tent’s porch area lacked any overhead structure to support them.

RED’s team designed and installed a custom support structure that blended seamlessly into the aesthetic of the event. We then hung multiple chandeliers over the bar, creating a floating, twinkling focal point. Our signature Jay hooks were also strategically used to safely and beautifully suspend additional chandeliers—delivering the effect the client wanted, without compromising safety or style.

This wasn't just an event, it was a transformation. Renowned Event Designs helped deliver an unforgettable experience that raised the bar for Wilmington’s luxury event scene. From a structural masterpiece to a chandelier dreamscape, every detail was curated, customized, and elevated in collaboration with a visionary client and planner.
